O-band Wavelength Tunable Laser: ATLAS1310 release
Our new wavelength tunable laser for O-band, ATLAS1310 is coming in Q2 of this year. The laser will be part of ATLAS series, meaning it will be coming in a very compact form (the size of a deck of cards), fully integrated with no moving parts, enabling switching between wavelengths instantly. It will feature wide tunability, ultra-narrow linewidth, fast wavelength modulation & fiber coupled output. The new laser is built on the same technology as our other lasers, meaning hybrid photonic integration, combining a TriPleX® silicon nitride passive chip with an indium phosphide gain chip in an external-cavity configuration. For this development, the silicon nitride was provided by our partner LioniX International and the InP chip was supplied by Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute HHI.
The developing process is now nearing completion, with the first demonstrators successfully tested. One of these units already debuted in California, at Photonics West 2026.
ATLAS1310 demo at OFC 2026
We will have a demo of the O-band tunable laser at OFC 2026, hosted at our stand 957 located in the NLpavilion.
Our colleagues that will be present on-site are already planning meetings, for more in depth explanations and technical discussions. To book a dedicated time slot, please reach out to us via the general contact form.

Early Access & Pre-Orders
Chilas is still accepting pre-orders for the first production batch of the 1310 nm laser that will be ready by Q2 2026. Pre-orders will receive priority access to receiving the first units produced and are subject to a discount. If you want to secure a unit, make sure to get in contact and pre-order a unit.
