New lasers line-up: Chilas ATLAS, COMET and POLARIS
After four years of hard work and collaboration, we’re proud to introduce our brand-new laser line-up: Chilas ATLAS, COMET, and POLARIS. Each of these lasers brings something unique to the table, combining cutting-edge performance with precision and reliability. Keep reading to get accustomed with: Chilas ATLAS – a wavelength-tunable laser module available for several wavelength ranges. Chilas COMET – a swept-wavelength laser and Chilas POLARIS – a single-frequency, ultra-stable laser, precisely set at the wavelength your application demands.
Chilas ATLAS
Wavelength Tunable Laser
Chilas ATLAS is a versatile, broad wavelength tunability laser module, offering configurations at multiple wavelengths: 685 nm, 850 nm, 1550 nm, 1600 nm, 1700 nm. It is ultra-narrow linewidth and proposes a wide tuning range to support applications where adaptability and precision are important.
Chilas COMET
Swept Source Laser
Chilas COMET proposes a fiber output power exceeding 10 mW and a great sweeping speed of 40 nm per second across the C-band. Chilas COMET is built for dynamic applications requiring rapid wavelength changes. Enhanced calibration procedures and a specialized driver enable smooth, quasi-continuous sweeping across the full band.
Chilas POLARIS
Frequency-Stabilized Laser
Chilas POLARIS is a single-frequency, ultra-stable laser, precisely fixed at the wavelength your application demands. It delivers exceptional long-term stability in both frequency and power. Its robust architecture ensures lasting performance for the most demanding use cases.
What makes these lasers special? The dedicated electronic drivers ensure ease of use, thanks to a dynamic mapping of the ring-resonator based external cavity. These lasers are a demonstration of what photonic integrated circuit (PIC) technology can do: high-quality, feature-packed, and built to set the standard for compact and robust narrow-linewidth tunable lasers.
Our CTO, Dimitri Geskus explains: “Thanks to a compact ecosystem with a unique set of top-level experts, we’ve developed balanced laser sources driven by a dedicated electronic driver, delivering performance close to the theoretically achievable limits.”
Expanding the Lasers Impact across Industries & to New Wavelengths
These lasers are designed to meet the challenges of today’s industries. The versatility of the laser modules makes them ideal for a wide range of applications, including sensing, quantum technologies, OCT, QKD, LiDAR, spectroscopy, telecommunications, metrology and more. Behind the scenes, new lasers at different wavelengths are already in development, and we can’t wait to share more details soon.
